Guilherme studied Dentistry at the Federal University of Minas Gerais – Brazil. He completed a postgraduate diploma in Orthodontics and an MSc in Pharmacology, Biochemistry, and Molecular Biology at the same institution. In 2007, he started his Ph.D. at King’s College London, sponsored by two prestigious awards (ALBAN and ORSAS).
In 2013, he was appointed as an Academic Clinical Lecturer and honorary specialist registrar in Orthodontics at King’s College London. He has split his time between research and further clinical training in Orthodontics. His research led to several scientific publications in peer-reviewed journals. His findings have been presented both abroad and throughout the UK. He qualified for his Master of Science in Orthodontics from King’s College London. He was awarded the Professor Philip Walther Prize for outstanding performance. He also attained membership in Orthodontics (MOrth) with The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. After completing his specialist training, he pursued further training at the consultant level for three years before focusing solely on private orthodontic practice. Guilherme prides himself on the quality of his clinical care and continuing education.
