Ali is an enthusiastic and conscientious practitioner who is committed to holistic patient-centered care, clinical excellence, and evidence-based practice.
Ali received his undergraduate training at King’s College London Dental Institute, where he qualified in 2008. In addition to his dental studies, Ali was accepted to undertake further study and research of neurological diseases, and was awarded a BSc in Neuroscience. After qualification from Dental School, Ali successfully completed Dental Foundation Training with the prestigious London Deanery. He subsequently worked as an NHS dentist in both General Practice and at Guy’s Dental Hospital.
Ali has a passion for education. After completing further training in clinical teaching, he was awarded a certificate in Mentoring and a PGCert in Dental Education from the University of Bedfordshire. He worked as a clinical teacher at Guy’s Dental Hospital and was a postgraduate Educational Supervisor for the London Deanery for many years. He continues to provide clinical teaching and runs various courses for dentists.
Clinically, Ali has completed training in Advanced Endodontics and Advanced Restorative Dentistry with the Aspire Dental Academy, and successfully passed the examinations for Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties (MJDF) of the Royal College of Surgeons (England). In 2018, Ali was accepted onto the specialist training programme in Endodontology at King’s College London. During his studies he was selected as the King’s College London Endodontic Student Representative, and the Postgraduate Endodontic Representative of the Specialist Training Committee for London. He successfully completed his specialist training in 2022, and was awarded an MClinDent with Distinction. He continued his training to successfully achieve the MEndo with the Royal College of Surgeons, which is the highest clinical qualification in Endodontics.
Ali has a keen interest in clinical academia. His research has been published in the leading endodontic peer-reviewed literature, and he has contributed to various Endodontic textbooks.
Ali provides both surgical and non-surgical treatment of complex endodontic cases. Following his research in this field, he has a particular interest in the use of 3D-imaging and the management of compromised teeth. He strives to ensure patients are fully informed throughout their journey, and to support each patient to make the right choice for them based on their own values, preferences and best interests.
Beyond dentistry, Ali is a father and husband, and enjoys climbing, weight-lifting, and reading.
